There is a lot of talk these days about the need and importance of building and maintaining teams. We welcome much of this re-emphasis on the need for one another, and the letting go of strict hierarchical (and sometimes controlling) models of leadership, both inside and outside the church.
Although we also accept that someone needs to lead, while acknowledging that no one person can do it all on their own. Indeed, as well as accepting that all of us have unique skills, we also acknowledge the principle of our unique individuality. In this we reflect the uniqueness of each person of the Divine Social Trinity. We’ve written more about this in Trinity in Human Community.
We therefore recognize that every one of us brings a unique contribution to anything we are involved in, but that no one person has either all the gifts or all the answers.
We believe that God has intentionally created each of us this way – so that no one of us ever has it all. For it is only in being together that we best represent Christ, not when we continue to choose being isolated private individuals. Together we are more than the sum of our individual parts.
So we are delighted to present to you our core teams in the UK & USA, while our extended team you will meet in our books, CD’s, DVD’s and in the numerous testimonies and declarations of those involved in our ministry and its journeying.
